The Second Shift Study (checkout label: The Second Shift Study, AI Systems Assessment) is a human-verified assessment and action plan for the work you still do by hand after close. It costs $999 (USD), paid by card through Stripe before your discovery call is scheduled. Charges appear on your card statement as MCSJ LLC. It includes: a 45-minute recorded discovery interview; your written nine-page report (the Shift Sheet), delivered to you before your walkthrough; a 30-minute live Shift Sheet Walkthrough, scheduled when you book; and a 4-day quick-start plan inside the report. You keep the report either way.
"If, after your 45-minute conversation, we can't document at least five reclaimable hours a week in your business — honest, non-duplicative hours you confirm — you still receive your full Shift Sheet AND we refund the $999."
How we count, and the only conditions: the hours come from time estimates you confirm out loud on your discovery call, itemized per tool in your Shift Sheet, with no task counted twice. Claim window: 30 days from the day your Shift Sheet is delivered. Refunds go to your original payment method; we start the refund ourselves, and how quickly it posts depends on your card issuer.
Your numbers, not mine. Those two conditions, the owner-confirmed five-hour standard and the 30-day claim window, are the only conditions on the guarantee. If the honest count lands under five, you still get your full Shift Sheet and your walkthrough; I start the refund myself, before you ask.

If you later hire The Local AI Shop to build anything from your report, your full $999 Study fee is credited in full toward The First Shift Build, or toward an eligible custom implementation proposal, as stated in that written proposal. Every build gets one fixed written quote for its exact scope, and a quote is never padded to absorb the credit.
Builds: The First Shift Build is a fixed price of $2,900 (USD), against which your $999 Study fee credits in full, so you pay $1,901. Every other build is custom scoped and custom quoted, in USD, in writing, before work starts. Your proposal spells out the scope: what is included, what is excluded, and what I need from you. It lists the estimated effort, the accounts and connected tools involved, and each deliverable with the test it has to pass. It states one fixed price (or clearly stated milestone pricing), how changes are handled, and any optional ongoing support with its price. You sign the scope before work starts, and changes to scope are agreed in writing before they are built.
Monthly plans (when offered): billed monthly to your card on file until you cancel. Cancel any time by emailing lucas@localaishop.com, calling __PHONE__, or using the cancellation link on your invoice; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and I confirm it in writing. Discovery calls are recorded only with your spoken permission, asked out loud at the start of the call. Recordings are transcribed by AI software, AI tools help draft your report (those services receive your call content only to deliver this service), and a human reviews every page before it ships. Deletion schedule: the source recording is deleted 30 days after your report is delivered, the working transcript after 90 days, and your final report after 12 months, unless you ask me to keep it longer or delete it sooner. One email deletes your recording and transcript early, on request. Your information is never sold and never trains AI models unless you separately and optionally agree in writing to de-identified internal training use; declining changes nothing about your price, guarantee, or service. These terms are governed by California law. If any part of this page changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
